YAKINIKU KING

Yakiniku King is an all-you-can-eat style yakiniku chain operated by The Monogatari Corporation, approximately 300 stores in size. There are several courses you can choose from, which are most popular King course (2980 yen + tax), the Premium course (3980 yen + tax) where you can enjoy the most luxurious dishes, the 58-item course (2680 yen + tax) which you can enjoy more affordably, and the Lunch course (1980 yen + tax). (Prices as of March 2023, may differ depending on location) You can order using a device on your desk without talking to staff, so you can focus on just eating whatever you want as much as you want! You can set the language of the device to English.

There are staff members called “Yakiniku Police” wearing red armbands, who can advise you on how the grill and eat the meat in the best way, so feel free to ask them for help if you ever feel stuck. They will do their best to help you.

The meat is sliced into thin strips, so it will finish cooking pretty quickly. You can choose whether you eat them with salt or sauce.

We ordered a lot of tongues, which is our favorite kind of meat! We had them with lemon sauce.

All of the side menus were relatively small, so you can order them without worrying about filling yourself up. We ordered udon, Korean nori and eggs on rice, vegetable kuppa, and french fries. There is also kimchi, caesar salad, and cabbage salad, which you can order if you want to eat vegetables.

There’s also some dessert you can order, although we forgot to take pictures. We had matcha-flavored ice cream puffs, but there is also almond jelly, fruit jelly, and vanilla sof-serve ice cream in the same course, and premium sorbet, brown sugar and kinako soft-serve ice cream, premium swiss roll and chocolate cake in the King course, so don’t forget to leave some space in your stomach for what you want to eat!

Each course has a time limit of 100 minutes, and you have to place your last order at least 20 minutes before that time limit. You can pay for your meal at the cashier near the entrance of the shop. It’s free for toddlers, half price for elementary school students, and 500 yen off for people more than 60 years old (300 yen for the Lunch course).

Many Yakiniku King stores are located in the suburbs, but we recommend that you go there and enjoy having as much meat as you want if there was one near your travel destination. Here are some locations that are relatively easy to go:
