GUSTO

GUSTO is the largest family restaurant chain operated by Skylark Holdings, a Japanese family restaurant operator. They provide an enjoyable experience to people of all ages, with breakfasts, discounted lunches on weekdays, a kids menu, and “Happy Hours”, where they offer alcoholic drinks in lower prices from 10:30 to 18:00 on weekdays.

In GUSTO, you can enjoy all kinds of meals, such as Japanese, Chinese, Western, and Italian. Their desserts are delicious too! You can also order drinks without ordering anything else, so GUSTO is the perfect place if you want to take a little break while you travel. The temperature is always comfortable there, cool in the summer and warm in the winter.

At GUSTO, you usually order using a tablet device placed on every table. The tablet’s language settings can be chosen between three languages: Japanese, English and Chinese. GUSTO has a number for every meal (for example, NO. 183 for Margherita Pizza), which you can also use to order.

Most GUSTO locations have a “Drink Bar”, where you can enjoy about 30 types of drinks, such as Cola, Sprite, orange juice, coffee, tea and hot chocolate, in a free-refill style. In some locations, the drink dispensers can be used in different languages including Japanese, English, Chinese and Korean.

Fried Chicken “KARAAGE”

The alcoholic drinks you can order in GUSTO are beer, sour, and wine (red and white) among others.

They also have many kinds of appetizers, such as chicken Karaage (Japanese-style fried chicken), French fries, and small-sized beef stew.

They have a wide variety of desserts as well. You’ll never grow tired of eating at GUSTO, with gateau chocolat, cheesecakes, parfaits, pancakes, and other seasonal desserts to choose from!

When you’re done eating, you can bring your bill to the cashier near the entrance/exit to pay for your meal. Credit cards can be used.

You can also take order food to take out at GUSTO. Some GUSTO locations have a tablet you can use to order food for takeout. It might be nice to have a delicious Japanese meal in your relaxing hotel room!

The location I visited before had some feline robo-waiters carrying dishes. You might be able to meet these adorable robots too if you are lucky! The robots are also in some other restaurant chains operated by Skylark, such as Bamiyan or Jonathan’s.

Thanks for reading until the end! I hope you have a wonderful time at GUSTO.
